Q: Where do I download the Mac app?
The Mac companion app is available for free from the Download section on our homepage. It must be running for the iPhone app to work.
Q: My iPhone can't find my Mac
Please check the following:
- Both iPhone and Mac are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Local Network permission is enabled for DeckMate in iPhone Settings
- DeckMate Mac is running (check the menu bar icon)
- Try tapping "Scan network" for a manual network scan
Q: I'm getting an "unauthorized" error
Click the DeckMate icon in your Mac's menu bar, copy the token, and paste it exactly into the iPhone app's Settings.
Q: Quit doesn't work for some apps
Go to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation and grant DeckMate Mac permission to control the target app.
Q: I can't see the DeckMate icon in the menu bar
It may be hidden behind other menu bar icons. Hold ⌘ (Command) and drag menu bar icons to rearrange them.
Q: Does DeckMate require an internet connection?
No. DeckMate only uses your local Wi-Fi network. It works without any internet connection.
